For the first time in a LONG time, the Titans have a chance to start an actual winning streak. Detroit hosts Purdue Fort Wayne on Saturday, February 17, at the House of Calihan at 1:00 PM. On the radio broadcast during the IUPUI game, fans were advised to arrive at 12:30 PM for a tribute to Earl Cureton. Earl will also be recognized at halftime. The first 500 fans in attendance will receive an EC button. The Titans hung tough for a half before being blown out after the break at Fort Wayne in the first meeting earlier this season. It was only a five point game at the half, but the final was 91-56. We were without Stone for that game. Fort Wayne looked like the class of the conference early this season, but currently sit at 7-8 in league play, 16-10 overall. The had a five game losing streak immediately after facing the Titans, but are 3-3 since then. They fell to Oakland Wednesday night. The Mastodons play an eight man rotation, and have four players averaging double figures. They are a good offensive team. The Titans have some momentum and are playing at home. Fort Wayne is a lot better than IUPUI, but they're not unbeatable. Still, ESPN only gives the Titans an 11% chance of getting the win. I'll be dropping my wife off downtown at 11 tomorrow so my expectation is that my son gets a button with ease. He will appreciate that button more than probably everyone else at Calihan. Its gonna be great.

Down 18 in second half..closed it to 4….ran out of gas. Only bench players were Tobin and Kyle. Too many guys on the floor who are not a scoring threat. Looked like a good crowd.

Thank you Larry, for the update. As Titan forever mentions, we’re back to reality. Next up is the #4 team in the Horizon at home, then the #3 and #1 teams on the road. It's about to get even a bit more ugly before the season moves toward conclusion. Oakland just beat IUPUI by 48, I'm guessing the Titans will be similarly embarrassed against the current league leaders.

Announced crowd as 1213. My kid went down 3 minutes before the half and there were EC buttons remaining. Better crowd than the last few I've been to... but if 1213, alot of folks didn't grab a button.
