Hearing now it will be either Wisconsin or Pitt, not both, TBD.
Also heard that Austin Peay is one of the team in the MTE field.

I'm betting on Pitt, shortly before or after Christmas, because Pitt has no known non-conference games after December 11, and UD none after December 18. This starts to make more sense. If only one of Pitt/Wisconsin, that leaves us 1 open date. Still need two dates for an MTE. PTC suggested maybe no BGSU game, but that game had a signed contract. Could be backed off a year by agreement, though. Another possbility is that neither BGSU nor Austin Peay is currently in an MTE, so, though this doesn't seem quite right, perhaps those two would make up the 2-game MTE?

I heard at the golf outing that Bowling Green is off the schedule. We canceled the contract and it cost us $20,000. The Dayton game is also canceled. Dayton has Marquette coming in as a marquee game instead. I was told Monty had a $500,000 goal to reach for our buy games and reached it. The tourney in Florida will be 8 teams with Austin Peay as the lone one announced so far.

So we're looking something like this:
H _______ Wayne State (Exhibition) H Nov. 04 Cleary (Non D1) A Nov. 07 Loyola H Nov. 10 Niagara H Nov. 16 Toledo A Nov. 20 Ball State A Nov. 23 Wake Forest A Nov. 30 Eastern Michigan (A Dec. 18 Bowling Green-cancelled) A Dec. 14 Davidson N ___. __ MTE ? (Austin Peay? and others, probably bracketed) N ___. __ MTE ? A ______ Pittsburgh
I'm guessing an MTE will be a Christmas season one, just because we're pretty jammed up if they schedule it the week before Thanksgiving, but have nothing with firm dates after December 14.

I'm sure we are getting a check not sure how much from Dayton. Commish - Monty told me team will fly out from Wake Forest right to Florida for the tourney - keep up your good detective work to fill it in.

It's my understanding that Flagler University is the host school for the MTE tournament. The NCAA allows one non-D1 team to participate in these type events. I heard today that the Titans will be matched with FU in one of the games.
The Flagler athletic teams are called the Saints. The college is a member of the NCAA Division II ranks, competing in the Peach Belt Conference. They were 20-11 last season, could be a competitive game.

Not saying it’s impossible, but Flagler has already published their complete season schedule. In that schedule, Flagler is playing a road game on November 26th up in Jacksonville. Also, Flagler hosted last year's Jacksonville Classic, but did not play in it.

Whatever the precise details end up being, our non-con schedule will be 3 home games, 6 road games, and 2 neutral court games.
Also, we should have at least 5 home games before Christmas, 1 exhibition, 3 non-conference, and 1 HL game.

I know this is getting silly, but I'm procrastinating finishing a book manuscript that was due on August 1.
Our educated guess (or perhaps non-public confirmation) is that we're playing in Jacksonville Class on November 27-28, with Rhode Island and probably Austin Peay as two other teams. There are 53 teams that have not been confirmed for an MTE. 1 is UD 1 is Austin Peay. 2 (Loyola, MD and Western Carolina) have announced schedules and are not playing in MTEs 3 (Cleveland State, Eastern Kentucky, and Richmond) are in a conference with UD, Peay, or Rhody, and so cannot play. 14 (Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, NC A&T, Manhattan, Coppin St., Delaware St., Morgan St., Fairleigh Dickinson, Georgia St., Southern Illinois, Oral Roberts, Florida A&M, and Pepperdine) are unlikely because they have other announced games between November 26 and 29.
That leaves 32 possible schools to round out the field: Rice, Tulsa, Indiana State, Bryant, NJIT, Montana State, Weber State, Hofstra, Louisiana Tech, Columbia, Marist, Merrimack, St. Peter's, Ball St., Bowling Green, Buffalo, Central Connecticut, Wagner, Morehead St., Tenn. St., W. Illinois, Army, Lehigh, Chattanooga, Citadel, Incarnate Word, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Troy, Abilene Christian, Tarleton St., and UT-Arlington.
