Part of that tweet about Colin Castleton caught my eye. "Expecting long list of high major suitors."
Really? Castleton was considered by some a four star recruit, but ESPN had him at a three star level. He's been on high major level for two years at Michigan, under two coaches, and has averaged 2 points per game. He's cracked double figures three times in his career, and one of those was against Houston Baptist. He had a bunch of DNP-CD. I know that it only takes one high major coach who is interested to give him a landing spot on that level, but "a long list of high major suitors"? I'm not trying to trash the kid, but based on what?
College basketball is a lot different than it used to be. Back in the day, if Colin was transferring, he would be looking at a nice mid major.

Also, if Castleton were to transfer to a mid major, sit out a season, play one season at the mid major and average 15ppg,I can almost guarantee you that he would transfer again to a high major as a grad transfer for his final season of eligibility.

Exactly. And the other scenario, he transfers to a high major, sits out a year, underachieves in his new spot when eligible, and transfers again as a grad transfer. :-)

So, Michigan didn't get Ivy League transfer Ankle Breakin' Bryce Aiken, but they did get all Ivy League performer Mike Smith. Considering the injury history of Aiken, this might work out in Coach Howard's favor.

Rare intraconference transfer Been following this young man for a few years. He was a DePaul target on high school. Hasn't lived up to expectations. Very good defender, not much on offense.
