This isn't a 2014 transfer, but it's transfer related. Darius Paul was a Titan target in high school before going to WMU, where he decided his game was too big for the MAC. Looks like he picked up some weight during his red shirt year. Jon Rothstein @jonrothstein 24m Illinois forward Darius Paul has gained 30 pounds since transferring from Western Michigan, per @johngroce. Will play both PF and C. Update on Darius Paul, who transferred from Western Michigan to Illinois and then got kicked out of school a few weeks ago. Maybe he should have just stayed at WMU. JucoJunction @jucojunction 36m Former Illinois player Darius Paul is headed to Lamar State Port Arthur next season. It's been a strange journey, but it looks like Paul ends up back at Illinois. With the red shirt year after his transfer from WMU and the year he is spending at JUCO after getting kicked out of Illinois, he is down to two years of D1 eligibility left. I'm surprised he ended up back with the Illini. He had a few incidents of trouble there. Brad Winton @jucorecruiting 24m24 minutes ago Darius Paul (6'9/F/2015) of Lamar State - Port Arthur will sign with Illinois today at 1:30pm.

I guess he was insulted that he didn't play in opening game.

I guess he was insulted that he didn't play in opening game. :-) Maybe. Really strange timing. He transferred in from a JUCO just this summer, so it's hard to figure out what could have happened. He does himself no favors waiting until now to leave, because he's blown this semester. Strange.
