I thought all the players would be on campus and practicing together by now, so we should know who is on the team and who isn't.

Most schools are taking precautions due to Covid, and those "arrival on campus" dates seem to have been pushed back. This is going to be an unusual summer for college basketball teams.

Oklahoma State would seem like a good bet. High major, Big 12 budget and facilities, good recruiting class coming in and expected to be better. Hard to turn that down. If he is looking for a major role and a real opportunity to shine, U of D would be his best bet, and I say that trying to be as objective as possible. OSU has a couple of stud guards coming as freshmen, a five star and a four star. The also bring back a sophomore guard who was their second leading scorer and two freshmen guards who both clocked double figure minutes per game. In 2018-19 the Cowboys took on a hot mid major grad transfer guard named Mike Cunningham, and he only played 8 games at OSU before leaving the team. With the Titans, Flavors probably starts from day one. Grad transfer Flavors committed to Oklahoma State, and the Cowboys just got hit with a post season ban for the 2020-21 season. Wonder if Flavors will be trying to get out of his commitment and jump to one of the other high major programs that were recruiting him.

Another transfer considering us in his final 10. 6'8" 220 lbs. Saw limited action at Georgia last season. This is not the other big man mentioned by Tom B earlier.

Peake would presumably be sitting out a year. Last year as a freshman he appeared in 24 games, averaging 9 minutes, 2.3 points, 2 rebounds for Georgia. Coach offered Peake shortly after starting at UD, in August of 2018, before his senior year of high school. He also had offers from Virginia Tech, St. Louis, and some other schools at that time. Didn't do a ton for Georgia, but he was a freshman, and he did play. Could be a nice pick up if we get him. I see competitors include Cincinnati. But Mike, if you're looking for PT, why go from Georgia to UC? Come to Detroit, man.

There is no way we are getting this guy. I don't even understand how we are in the running Why do you say that? Yeah, he's got a UC offer up there, but the others are Austin Peay, Omaha, Louisiana, Missouri State, Florida International, South Dakota, and a couple of community college options--presumably if he prefers not to sit a year, although it could be he has borderline academics. Assuming it's not that last, I don't see that as a group we can't compete with. And he's from the upper midwest (Chicago). If he wants to be closer to home we'd be his best option. And if he's leaving Georgia for more playing time, Cincinnati has an incumbent 7-0 center (11 points/6 rebounds), a grad transfer power forward (15 points, 8 rebounds), and a signed 4-star freshman PF for whom they beat out Maryland, USC and P5 schools. Peake is listing 10 options, so obviously, just the numbers are against us, but I don't see this as a "how are we even in the running" scenario at all.

This young man would fit well. Size, P5 experience, Chicago hometown prior to HS in KC. I only recognize a few of the college emblems besides Cincinnati....Florida International, South Dakota, Omaha, Louisiana. Other than the Bearcats, it's a mid mid major offering. We should be in the running...lets Hope Coach can land him. If eligible, he could share minutes at C/PF.
