In this situation you would hope the coach would be smart enough to deescalate the situation. Sounds like a lot of testosterone was in that lockerroom. A similar incident occurred between Lorenzo Neely an Jamaal Crawford ar UofM, only in that situation the coach (Neely) got the best I'd the player.

I agree RB, although it is worth noting that this kid was suspended once in high school, suspended once at Illinois State, and then transferred. Sounds like bad news. Maybe Kampe will sign him.

The MAAC and the Atlantic Sun try a very limited (to two teams from each Conference) neutral site "Showcase" on an every other year basis:

Lindy's picks the MAAC this way.
1. Iona 2. Rider 3. Manhattan 4. Canisius 5. Siena 6. Quinnipiac 7. Monmouth 8. Fairfield 9. Niagra 10.St. Peter's 11.Marist
The MAAC gets mentioned on the boards sometimes as a potential landing spot for U of D if we leave the HL. Any thoughts on where we'd finish in the MAAC this year?

Big news out of the MAAC as long time Iona coach Tim Cluess resigns for health reasons and Rick Pitino is reportedly being hired for the job.
Final 2019-20 MAAC standings:
Sienna St. Peter's Rider Monmouth Quinnipiac Iona Niagra Manhattan Fairfield Canisius Marist

If quality players can pick Iona (I don't care who the coach is) then quality players can pick Detroit. I've never read about the fantastic facilities Iona had to offer. They might, but I've not heard that.

Pitino is a player getter, but I expect he is doing the same things that have landed him in hot water at every single one of his previous collegiate stops. My guess is that he was actually recruiting before he officially got the job.

Mole... if only you hadn't been joking. Sounds like the rest of the MAAC is going to run into a buzzsaw so long as Pitino is there.
