North Carolina with starters still in 25 point lead under 4 min. . Hoping one of their guys get injured and they get blown out next game. Hoping 19 yr olds get hurt. AMDG

AMDG It doesn’t necessarily have to be a 19 yr. Old a 20, 21 or 22 yr. Old would be fine. I’m not a fan of running up scores and humiliating an opponent. I do not consider that to have a place in sports. I can see where Hubert Davis would have any disdain for St. Peter’s but maybe he got a speeding or DUI in New Jersey. That game was over pretty quickly didn’t watch most of it switched to the White Sox vs Dodgers but was surprised when I checked in to see NC with their starters still in T the 3:28 mark and up by 25. Not much class in wishing them harm but not much class on their part either.

A former college basketball player said on ESPN radio early Saturday that for North Carolina to handle St. Peter's they needed to jump on the Peacocks right from the start and show them why they never got a recruiting letter from the Tar Heels. That's exactly what UNC did. They set the tone early, using their size and talent advantages. They played to dominate, they didn't play to not lose. They did everything Purdue didn't.

Yup for St Pete’s to win they had to put pressure on NC and that never happened. The old adage that guards win tournaments is holding true. The bigs are the show but the guards are the go!

We must have watched different games. UNC’s starting forwards had 39 points and 30 rebounds. And their guards shot like shit from the 3.

And they took the whole flow of the game away from St. Pete’s. In prior games the Peacock guards pressured opponent guards and took them out of their flow and late into shot clock. NC guards penetrated at will and we’re constantly inside the SP defense. The NC bigs were constantly in mismatches and with the penetration there was less help side. We watched the same game we just saw different things. Go see an eye doctor and quit eating at Bonnie Doon’s the grease combined with the glare of the Dome has caused some optic damage.

In their day Bonnie Doon’s was the spot. I didn’t even know if they were still in business. I’m going back 85 + years back when the Yooper was the big man on campus.

Do you believe Gipp’s ghost haunts campus? Just seeing how far off topic we can take this thread at this point.
