DePaul, one of my other favorite programs, is once again feeling the effects of the pandemic. From Twitter:
"Today's game was postponed due to COVID-19 issues with the St. John's program. This marks the 2nd time this season that the Blue Demons have seen a game cancelled or postponed within 60 minutes of tipoff after travelling to the game."

MC Sam, one would think, since the number of athletes both pro and college in compared to the general population that are first in line for these shots, that these ball players would be right up there for shots, and end this play don't play issue. If indeed they are making millions of these doses it won't change the fact that certain people require the shots first.

The Horizon League announced that the Milwaukee at Robert Morris men's basketball game scheduled for today has been canceled due to a positive COVID-19 test within the RMU program and related safety concerns.

The January 22/23 games against Oakland will still be played? Someone on the team got COVID and the Sports Information Department released a statement that the team was committed to an asylum?

Pretty embarrassing for the AD. The Women's Basketball team screwed up the hire in the first place. Should have hired Carrie Banks. I think she'll turn around Omaha in the next couple of years.

Sharing this in the interest of public health, and didn't want to start a new thread to do it:
I have received both doses of the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine. I received my first dose on December 23 and my second dose on January 13. I had no side effects from the first shot, other than a little soreness at the injection site for a few hours. For the second dose, I was a little fatigued early the day after, but back to normal by that evening. Haven't had any complications or negative effects beyond that.
Just some information for those who might be debating whether or not to get the vaccine.
Stay healthy, fellas. Feel free to ask questions if you have any, either in this thread or via message.

Thank you Sam, Taking Charles Barkley's virus statement to the next step. American's need to start to 'heal" from this virus. Going into March perhaps we take a few thousand of these vaccines and give them to college's for kid that are playing sports, maybe even the pros so we could start to depend on date certain sports, and get the cancelations out of the news. The number of these shots won't change anything and will start the healing.

Congrats on this Sam - a big step indeed for your own personal safety and good to hear. I'm in the cohort that will be last in line to get it, so just keeping my head down and staying safe for the sake of my daughter and wife.
