If (and that's a big IF) .... Fuller, Stone, and Tchikou are eligible and available at the start of the season; we'll have a respectable roster.

Not a good omen!

Well, royaloakdave - Coach Davis just officially confirmed at the HL Media Day that Stone is back. One down, 2 to go for a respectable roster.

College Sports Madness has listed their #61-#144 rankings. They add one new ranking each day. LMU #64, CIN #75, WT St #100 (#1 in HL) OHIO # 113, MIL #129 and TOL #143 Good read on each ranked team. Lists key return and key losses and all new incoming players. Go Titans College Sports madness update # 48 - #60 Mississippi #48; NC State #50 and Northwestern # 54. Seven of our games are with teams ranked between 48 and 143. Non league opponents not ranked are Eastern, Central, Ball State and SIEU. Adding Stone will help but winning beyond 4-7 will be challenging IMO.

Here's some food for thought for the upcoming season. This is where Lindy's see the Titans non-conference opponents finishing in their leagues.
Toledo: 3rd in the MAC Cincinnati: 13th in the Big 12 (That sentence tells you a lot about the craziness of realignment) Mississippi: 9th in the SEC Ohio: 4th in the MAC Eastern Michigan: 10th in the MAC Southern Illinois-Edwardsville: 2nd in the Ohio Valley Ball State 9th in the MAC Northwestern: 8th in the Big Ten Loyola Marymount: 3rd in the West Coast Conference Central Michigan 12th in the MAC North Carolina State: 8th in the ACC
This is a pretty tough schedule, especially with a team with so many new additions.

It could be very funny watching the officials this year adapt to the new numbering system now allowed by the NCAA. Until now, no jersey numbers above 5 were allowed so that the officials could signal a player's jersey number with 10 fingers or less. Now that 6, 7, 8, and 9 are permitted, I wonder how many officials and scorekeepers will get tripped up when the official tries to signal the second foul of #28. Or was that the 3rd foul on #25?

Does the NCAA have a waiver process for refs for whom this causes hardship?

Heard today that the Loyola Marymount match is a "buy game," so they won't be coming to Calihan next season.

Heard today that the Loyola Marymount match is a "buy game," so they won't be coming to Calihan next season. From the LMU forum: Anyone with any knowledge of geography would feel they knew where to find the University of Detroit. But this Detroit-Mercy hospital or whatever? We harp on this enough, but the bleeding never stops and no one at the University seems to care.

I'd say the comment from LMU that they can't find Detroit on a map says more about the intelligence of an LMU fan than it does about UDM.

We harp on this enough, but the bleeding never stops and no one at the University seems to care. I'd say the comment from LMU that they can't find Detroit on a map says more about the intelligence of an LMU fan than it does about UDM. As I noted I’m sure they can find Detroit. No one would write “I don’t even know where the University of Detroit is.” But Detroit-Mercy? It’s the rinky-dink name “Detroit-Mercy” that’s the problem. It sounds like a D-III school. That what I take to have been the point—and it’s true.

I find it baffling that there are people who think our branding mess is no big deal, despite countless examples of to the contrary.
