Detroit Titans vs The Green Bay Phoenix College Basketball January 4, 2023-24 7:00 PM Historic Calihan Hall The Titans being a stretch of playing nine of their next fourteen games at home when they host Green Bay. No games will be easy for the Titans, and this one is no exception. GB is 8-7 and on a three game winning streak. After starting the season by getting blown out by 41 at Iowa State, they've played decently. Two of their wins are against non-D1 competition, but they have beaten former conference mates Valpo and UIC, and their are 3-1 in conference play. The Phoenix are led in scoring guard Noah Reynolds, who is scoring 19 ppg on 51/36/77 shooting percentages. He's on a hot streak, having combined for 68 points the past two games. He also averages 4.5 assists per game. He makes their offense go. Junior forward Elijah Jones is the leading rebounder, at 6.6 boards per game to with his 9 point average. Two names on the roster might catch your eye: First, there's Michigan native Foster Wonders, the third leading scorer on the team at 7.2 ppg. Also on the squad is Ann Arbor's own Ryan Wade, in his fifth year of college ball after stops at Holy Cross and CMU. He's appeared in 10 games, averaging 1 point per game. Once again, we're not sure what to expect from the Titans, as we aren't sure who will be available. Hopefully, playing in the familiar confines of the Hall will give the team a much needed boost. ESPN gives the Titans a 44.2% chance to pull out the win. Per French on instagram he’ll be back in the states next week. That's good news. I am excited about Alex's potential, and will be glad to see him on the court. There's a lot of season left.

Just realized the Titans are one of only two D-1 teams without a victory. Mississippi Valley State is the other.

I wish Toatley would grab a seat and Jeremy Otto would get lock jaw!

The guys are trying hard, defending, running the offense. They just arent talented basketball players. As my late grandmother would say "bless their hearts".

I hope Davis is taking notes on how the game is supposed to be played.

This year is mind boggling. Lot of season left, but this year has been awful. The worst since I started following the Titans. Can't rebound to save our lives. Every time we score 2 or 3, GB scores 4 or 6. I have not even looked at our ranking in the NCAA D-1 because I don't want to know.

Green Bay has a first year head coach and his team will be 4-1 in the Horizon League after tonights victory. Has a Mike Davis team ever been 4-1 in the Horizon League. I doubt it.
