2019 G Jeremiah Francis from Pickerington Central high school in Ohio has been offered That doesn't surprise me. Pickerington is absolutely loaded this year, the best team in Ohio, and we've already been working on two of his teammates, 2018 SF Adrian Nelson and 2019 PF Cole Landis. Here's a note on Francis. www.270hoops.com/roster_players/12535686?subseason=301030. In addition to Francis and Landis, Pickerington has another sure-fire D-I player in the class of '19, combo guard Jevohn Garcia. Two other class of '19 guards on the team, Ethan Hazelrig and Jaidon Lipscomb, are also on D-I scouts radar. The team's center is Sterling Manning, a senior who has committed to North Carolina. Junior forward Jah Blevins is also a D-I player, and probably junior Juan Elmore, too. At the time of this post, it looked like Francis was going to quickly move out of range for us, and that turned out to be the case. He committed to North Carolina, joining his high school teammate, Sterling Manley. Unfortunately for both guys, the injury bug hit hard. Manley hurt his knew in high school and has been hampered at Chapel Hill. He's currently out with knee issues. Francis hurt his knee during his junior year of high school and missed most of that season. He reinjured the knee prior to the start of his senior year and missed the whole season. He is on the roster and enrolled at UNC now, but has not been physically cleared to play. Get well soon, fellas.

Posted this on the luncheon thread but thought I would repeat here. Coach D said two big men coming, one 6-11 the other a seven-footer. Currently finishing up with their international teams, but expected to arrive on campus later this month. Will enroll for second semester, I believe based on what was said both might be first eligible to play for the Northeastern game. I believe one recruit is from Egypt. Kinda explains why the roster is delayed in coming out, probably want all players on campus and then they will issue the standard release. Have the big guys arrived?

Man I’m sure doubting it more and more by the day. At some point you’d think some kind of word would leak out, esp by some of the keenest observers on here, about 1 or 2 new big guys in campus or at Calihan.
Pretty Disappointing if they are for naught after the hype/excitement of some needed bulk down low.

We keep hearing from posters who claim to have heard from Coach Mike that the big guys will be here for the second semester. But we do not see them listed on roster as we did last year for Curry and Isiani. I am hoping that they arrive...but I am not expecting it.

I'm not sure what to believe, but I'm leaning toward believing the rumors, but thinking that that big man will not be a star/superstar type player (although the previously stated "waiting to be released from the National team" would indicate a talented player is coming) I spend at least 30 mins a day searching online for info or evidence of an Egyptian big man, but have found nothing. I have communicated with two separate writers in Egypt that cover Egyptian basketball (although language was a slight barrier) and they have heard nothing. So who knows...

Grad transfer? Foreign player? Juco? Freshman? It looks like a grad transfer from a power conference. Should change the landscape in the Horizon. Is he here already?

The public statements from Davis at Media Day said nothing about the ability of the two big men he hopes will be playing in the second semester. The number of walk-ons listed on the roster suggest that Davis has held open at least two scholarships. That fact also suggests that Davis thinks they are worth a scholarship and the wait. Beyond that, we can't infer anything else.

Jackson and Ballantyne both saw action in LIU loss tonight. Jack scored 6 with 5 Rebs. Triple J was scoreless on 0-4 shooting with 2 turnovers.
