We made his final 5. Seems like we're the odd team on this list: Xavier, Wake Forest, Detroit, Oklahoma State and Washington State Detroit is a school that has also put in a lot of work, and though they play in a mid-major league, they have Flavors’ attention. “Detroit is the only mid-major on my list, but I feel like they have a great fit and need for me,” said Flavors. “I like how their coaching staff is very experienced. Mike Davis has been to the Final Four, and I just feel like they are missing a few pieces to make some noise. I like a lot about their plan of development and how they go about things.”

Let's hope so. He has been a double figure scorer at Cal Baptist Fairfield and South Mountain JUCO

Oklahoma State would seem like a good bet. High major, Big 12 budget and facilities, good recruiting class coming in and expected to be better. Hard to turn that down. If he is looking for a major role and a real opportunity to shine, U of D would be his best bet, and I say that trying to be as objective as possible. OSU has a couple of stud guards coming as freshmen, a five star and a four star. The also bring back a sophomore guard who was their second leading scorer and two freshmen guards who both clocked double figure minutes per game. In 2018-19 the Cowboys took on a hot mid major grad transfer guard named Mike Cunningham, and he only played 8 games at OSU before leaving the team. With the Titans, Flavors probably starts from day one.

Simmons averaged 15.5 and 15.9 ppg at Ohio U after transferring from Houston. He had one year of eligibility left and decided to use it at Michigan. He averaged 1.5 ppg in his line season at UofM. Calliste transferred to Oregon for his senior season and averaged 12.7 ppg, not bad at all. However, Calliste would've been our featured performer as a senior and would've certainly been option #1 for the Titans.

Yeah, it seems like for every Calliste style story, there are four or five that fit into the Cunningham/Simmons category. I remember Mark Alstork left WSU after averaging 19 ppg for the Raiders, and flamed out at Illinois, playing poorly on a team that finished 11th in the Big Ten while WSU went back to the NCAA tournament. Of course, I imagine some players would rather ride the pine for a bad Power 5 team than be the leading scorer on a good mid major, so who knows how they look at the decision afterwards.

Oakland has offered 2020 Hillcrest Prep (AZ) G/F Micah-Immanuel Parrish. Micah is a 2019 River Rouge HS alum that played on two final-4 teams. The Titans offered him a scholarship prior to his senior year, perhaps OU and UDM going head-to-head for this recruit. Commits to Oakland

Can't wait to start reading all of the big names that sign on to replace the 5-6 overmatched guys in the roster. Seriously, I can't wait. Wondering why I'm not reading about them yet?
