Lots of interesting names starting to announce they are transferring, including 5th year seniors. One name that caught my eye, who is a sophomore, is Keaton Hervey, a 6'7' forward from Incarnate Word. As a freshman in 2017-18, he started 18 of the 22 games; played 24.1 min/game; scored 7.8 ppg, (including a high of 20) and had 26 assists on the year; scored 15 plus points 5 times. He was injured/redshirted this year due to a knee injury, so he has 3 years left to play. And he's from Cedar Park, Texas, so I'm thinking Davis might be familiar with him. Probably unlikely, but you never know..

Here are the names listed by verbal commits that are transferring (so far), have yet to commit to a new school, are immediately eligible and are 6'6" or taller:
Pierre Sarr 6-8 195# Monmouth Collin McManus 6-10 230# Pennsylvania Auston Evans 6-6 186# Lafayette Eric Rwahwire 6-5 185# UC Riverside Anastasios Demogerontas 6-7 210# Northern Illinois Spencer Foley 6-7 190# McNeese State Joe Hugley 6-6 200# Central Connecticut State Kashaun Hicks 6-6 195# Central Connecticut State
Not much here based on stats. McManus, for all his size, couldn't even get on the floor except in mop up time. I guess it really is true: if you're a transfer who's a big man, and you can chew gum and walk at the same time, then the upper mid and high majors and P5 schools will be all over you like a fat kid on a candy bar...

Probably unlikely, but you never know.. Since Hervey has taken a red shirt year and would have to sit out as a transfer, he has just 2 yrs left to play unless he gets a waiver. 5 years to play 4.

Lately the NCAA has been handing out waivers like people handing out candy on Halloween

Here's a player we may look into. Vincent Eze, a grad transfer from Maine. 6'8" 220#. Possibly 2 years left. Modest production - 6 to 7 ppg, 4 to 5 rpg, in 19+ min per game the past 2 seasons. He checks off a lot of boxes as to what Davis said he's after - grad transfer (experience plus immediately eligible), height, plus he's attainable because if he had huge scoring numbers, the high majors would be all over him. www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/vincent-eze-1.html

Another big from a high major school who's a grad transfer: Sylvester Ogbonda 6'10" 238# from Georgia Tech - too bad he's barely played for 3 seasons (208 minutes total) ramblinwreck.com/roster/sylvester-ogbonda/

So many grad transfers are announcing each day, including numerous bigs. Its easy to find possible connections some of these kids could have to our staff. For example, 6'7" forward Justin Pierce from William and Mary is from Illinois. Could Dildy have a previous relationship with him? Are his numbers and achievements so good that it could push him to a high major school?

I can see some high major program taking a shot on him.

I was just about to post that he likely going high major, as many of the so called experts are expecting Pierce to be in very high demand From Jeff Goodman on Twitter: "Since I tweeted this out two hours ago, Justin Pierce has heard from AZ, ND, Ohio St., NW, Illinois, BC, Stanford, USC, Michigan, Wisconsin., Butler, Gonzaga, Ga Tech, DePaul, Nevada and Ole Miss."

Another possibility: Daniel Utomi, a 6'6" 215# forward is leaving Akron as a grad transfer. Originally from Houston, Tx, he averaged 14.2 points and 5.5 rebounds this season. Shot 37.3 percent from 3. He started vs us this past season and put up 13 pts / 7 reb

One of Dildy's former players And at 2.9 points and 2.6 rebounds per game at Chicago State, well, ... He's 6-9, 230 lbs, so he is size. Yeah, stats don't blow you away. You'd like to see more production in 18 minutes per game. On the other hand, like you said, 6-9, 230. I'll trust the coach's judgment on this.

Here's an interesting name for you guys - Tariq Woody. He is originally from Novi and played last season as a freshman at D2 Wheeling Jesuit and has decided to transfer. Now the key numbers: 6’9", 250#, ranked 3rd overall in D2 FG% at 64.2%; 12.4 ppg, 6.7 rpg, in 22.1 min/g. If I remember correctly, Commissioner mentioned his name over a year ago as someone we could have interest in. Of course, D2 to D1 transfers have to sit a year, so he wouldn't help next season

Lehigh Forward Pat Andree will graduate and transfer. Andree averaged 12.9 PPG & 6.2 RPG this past season. Made 70 threes at a 42% clip. 6'8" 225#
