The final scholarship (or two) - It's not Maxwell, and Thomas and Datcher are some what active twitter and have made no mention transferring in or being in Detroit/on campus. It's a mystery?? Should we turn our gazes towards Egypt again? Or that general area of Africa? Just because I am who I am, my fellow posters knew I couldn't help myself. Even venturing a guess is almost impossible - like picking a needle out of a haystack - but I figured I'd try anyways. The clues: Over 7' and from an African nation near Egypt. How about someone like Dut Mabor - he's from South Sudan, 7'1" and plays amateur basketball for Stella Azzura Roma in Italy. He recently withdraw from the NBA draft, but wasn't a superstar on his team. Another player matching the description is Much Biel Thong (great name). 7'1" from South Sudan, played at Tennessee Prep Academy 2 seasons ago (I think we have a connection there, thinking Eric Rustin and Jarred Rosser). Was on the roster at NE Oklahoma A&M last season, but I don't think he played. The odds of either name being our possible guy are likely less that 5%, but I had to at least try...

Regardless of the final outcome, the effort is always appreciated, Scout.

I'm intrigued by Much Biel Thong. The Titans could present a real challenge to announcers with a frontcourt of Much Biel Thong and Bul Kuol. And if Boe Nguidjol hadn't transferred.....

Thanks PTC. Looks like things came in as expected save for the Everett walk on, and no 11th hour surprise transfer. Now let’s hope we can get a decent season, because we see all feeling better about the shape of the squad! (And coach has a lot of spots to fill for next year given how many guys are on last year of eligibility, the grind never stops!)

(And coach has a lot of spots to fill for next year given how many guys are on last year of eligibility, the grind never stops!) Good points. We have more talent and a deeper roster. Hopefully, the NCAA will clarify the season start soon so practices can begin and the staff can begin the process of combining these individual players into a solid team. The recent top teams in the HL (NKU, WSU, OU, UIC & GB) are in transition. Some of the recent doormats (like us, YSU, CSU, and Milwaukee) are improving. Plus Robert Morris and PFW add competition to the league. We have a chance to contend for the title if the team comes together. Will have to get used to us playing with some tall guys on the floor. It's been a while.
