One more big guy grad transfer on campus, will be eligible 2nd term. Look south and follow Sam's man. Glad to hear we have another big but disappointed to hear we have acquired another Band - Aid who we have given a scholarship to to be available to help a little if we are up against a team with height and our bigs are in foul trouble. I realize the staff signed the best they could but was hoping for a more stable fix.

That would help a lot. I was hoping for the big kid from Texas. I think the scholarship would have been better spent redshirting him if he has problems.

If you're talking about Udemadu, the kid from Houston, one has to wonder why he is still a free agent in September. He might not be able to get into a college. As far as Detroit Mercy he might not want to come here.
As far as our final recruit, if rumors are true we will have him for two seasons.

Getting a 6th year for Datcher is going to be really difficult for a program which can't figure out for an entire year if they are eligible for their own conference tourney. Datcher has as follows; Frosh year 2016-2017 31 appearances Soph " 2017-2018 30 appearances Jr. " 2018-2019 6 appearances but did play the end of the year in SEC tourney Sr. " 2019-2020 elected to redshirt Looks like he has already had 3 seasons. I couldn't find info on how many games his Jr. year he sat on bench or was available to participate. As for Udemadu I remember seeing a post by his HS coach asking why no D1 program had given him a scholarship. The coaches post was early Aug..

In today’s printed edition of the Detroit News, Tony Paul provides a summary of the Titans’ recruiting class. He reports the program is seeking (presumably has not yet received) NCAA waivers allowing immediate eligibility for Waterman and Johnson.

If I were a mid or low major recruit with a current offer from a school l liked, I'd accept it asap.

I really don't understand this. The players got to play all of 2019-20 except for the tournament. Disappointing, I'm sure, but life happens. And they'll play all of this season minus a few non-conference games. Mildly disappointing, but life happens. I think this is likely to cause a bit more chaos, and have more ramifications, then they think. And a lot of the losers will be the kids in next year's class. What did they do to deserve that?

The young kids learn that life isn't fair. Just like last year's seniors learned that life wasn't fair for them.

The young kids learn that life isn't fair. Just like last year's seniors learned that life wasn't fair for them. But it's really fair for this year's kids, who all get an extra year of eligibility, regardless of whether their team was eliminated last year before the shut down, etc. And there's a difference between unfairness caused by an act of God, and unfairness caused by decisions by men. The latter tends to sting a lot more.

A big clarification having to do with the additional year of eligibility, scholarship #'s and transferring. So, it sounds like players receiving the extra year of eligibility and staying at their current school (not transferring), will NOT count against the 13 total scholarships allowed (as long as the player in question was in his final year of eligibility)
