Tuesday, November 27
Horizon Northern Kentucky 93, Morehead State 71. Drew McDonald had a triple-double with 14 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists for NKU (7-1). Tyler Sharpe led the Norse in scoring with 28 points.
Wright State 58, Cedarville 39. Cedarville was within 2 at halftime, but WSU's finally overwhelmed the D-II Yellow Jackets. Cole Gentry had 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists for Wright State (4-3).
Titan Non-Conference Opponents Ohio 89, Iona 65. Freshman Ben Vande Plas had 18 points and 11 rebounds as OU (4-2) romped.
Temple 79, Missouri 77. Two free throws by Shizz Alston with 11 seconds remaining gave Temple a 4 point lead, and the Owls held off a late Missouri comeback in Colombia. Quentin Rose led Temple (6-1) with 18 points.
Other Games I deem worth mentioning Louisville 82, #9 Michigan State 78 (OT). Chris Mack gets his first big win at Louisville in an exciting game. Kenny Goins had an interesting stat line in this game--0 points, 0 shots from the floor, 17 rebounds.
#3 Duke 90, Indiana 69. Duke (6-1) was all over the Hoosiers (5-2) from the opening tip. This game was not as close as the final score might indicate--and that's not close.
#5 Nevada 79, Loyola 65. So far last year's magic is missing for Loyola (4-3).
Penn State 63, #13 Virginia Tech 62. A nice win for the B10. Penn State (4-2) went up 63-60 on a Josh Reaves layup with 3:16 to play, and neither team hit another field goal. Tech (5-1) falls from the unbeaten ranks.
#14 Iowa 69, Pittsburgh 68. #22 Wisconsin 79, North Carolina State 75. Wisconsin (6-1) and Iowa (6-0) both pulled out wins late after trailing for most of their respective games. Iowa's win wasn't secure until Pitt missed at the final buzzer. Pitt and NC State had both entered the evening 6-0.
Notre Dame 76, Illinois 74. The Illini (2-5) rallied from 13 down with 6 minutes to play, but came up just short. Notre Dame is 6-1.
Oklahoma 73, North Texas 58. North Texas's 10 game winning streak, the longest current streak in the nation, comes to an end. Cincinnati 105, Arkansas Pine Bluff 49. I included this game because Pine Bluff's Martaveous McKnight entered the game as the nation's #4 leading scorer. But Martaveous finished with just 7 points as UC (6-1) rolled.
The Citadel 112, High Point 87. The Citadel (5-2) made 23 three pointers. Tubby Smith is 3-4 so far in his return to High Point.

Horizon
Kent State 76, Detroit 72. Titans had this one, and let it go. Disappointing attendance, too.
St. Joe's 89, UIC 75. Under Steve McClain, UIC just doesn't know how to close games out. This one they led by 13 in the second half. The differene and then some was that St. Joe's made 36 of 41 free throws, while UIC got just 16 attempts at the line. The refs called 26 fouls on UIC, just 14 on the Hawks. Tarkus Ferguson led UIC (3-4) with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Lamar Kimble had 31 for St. Joe's (4-3).
DePaul 83, Cleveland State 73. This game was closer than the final score looks, and CSU held leads well into the second half. DePaul (4-1) made 6 of 6 free throws in the final 40 seconds. Tyree Appleby had 15 points and 7 assists for Cleveland State (2-6).
Robert Morris 76, Youngstown State 56. Robert Morris (4-3) ran away from the Penguins in the second half, after leading by just 1 at the break. Kendale Hampton had 21 points for YSU (3-5), the only Penguin in double figures.
IUPUI 85, Bradley 73. IUPUI continued to play well, taking out a good MVC team with relative ease. Camron Justice led IUPUI (5-2) with 27 points, including 15 of 15 from the line. Bradley is 6-2.
Green Bay 85, Northern Illinois 83. Green Bay (4-3) led by 15 with 5 minutes left, then held off a late NIU rally. Tank Hemphill had 25 points and 10 rebounds for the Phoenix.
Non-Conference Titan Opponents Xavier 82, Miami (Oh). 55. Xavier (4-3) romped behind Tyrique Jones 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Toledo 80, North Alabama 59. Toledo is off to a 6-1 start. Luke Knapke had 18 points and Willie Jackson had 11 points and 12 rebounds tonight.
Akron 86, Alabama State 54. Tyler Cheese had 19 for Akron (5-2), which broke the game open with a 21-0 run to start the second half.
Other Games #7 Michigan 84, #11 North Carolina 67. Michigan continued to play, well, awesome. They fell behind by 10 in the opening minutes but had a 4 point lead at the break and were dominant in the second half. Ignas Brazdeikis led the Wolverines (7-0) with 24 points.
Central Michigan 81, Sam Houston State 65. The Chips are 6-1.
#4 Virginia 76, #24 Maryland 71. Maryland (6-1) is the first team to reach 60 points against UVa (7-0) this year, but still was on the wrong side of the final score. #6 Tennessee 95, Eastern Kentucky 67. #8 Auburn 99, St. Peter's 49. #10 Kentucky 90, Monmouth 44. #15 Florida State 73, #19 Purdue 72. FSU won it on a Trent Forrest bucket with 6 seconds left. Carsen Edwards led Purdue (5-2) with 24 points. Syracuse 72, #16 Ohio State 62.
St. Bonaventure 70, Canisius 55. These two old Titan rivals are struggling, each entering the game with just 1 win. Liberty 76, Navy 58. I felt patriotic just seeing this line in the scores. Harvard 73, Holy Cross 62. Illinois State 92, BYU 89 (OT). Illinois State (6-2), the MVC favorite, rallied from 14 down in the second half and forced the OT with a pair of free throws with 2 seconds left. All 5 Redbird starters reached double figures. Yoeli Childs had 27 points, 16 rebounds, and 6 assists for BYU (5-3).
Northwestern 67, Georgia Tech 61. Rutgers 57, Miami 54. A couple of good wins for bottom tier Big 10 teams.
Mid Major Win of the Day Valparaiso 72, UNLV 64. Nice win for our old friends in the MWC/MVC Challenge. It's taken seven foot Derek Smits a long time to come around, but tonight he had 20 points and 12 rebounds, giving him an average of 18 points and 9 rebounds over the last 4 games. The Crusaders are 4-3.

Thursday, November 29 Not much action on Thursday.
Horizon
#21 Buffalo 96, Milwaukee 77. In Belfast, Buffalo (6-0) dominated the Panthers. Ypsilanti's Nick Perkins had 20 points and 9 rebounds for the Buffs. MIlwaukee (2-5) was led by Carsen Warren-Newsome with 26.
Other Games
Central Florida 70, Alabama 64. UCF's unbeaten football team probably won't get a crack at 'Bama, so UCF fans will have to settle for this. B.J. Taylor led UCF (6-1) with 24 points.
Belmont 99, Samford 93 (OT). Two pretty good small majors played an exciting game in Birmingham. Samford's only prior loss was at Ohio State, while Belmont entered--and left--undefeated. Dylan Windler finished with 31 points and 11 rebounds for Belmont (6-0). Samford's seven foot center, Ruben Guerrero, had 20 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 blocks.
Mid Major Win of the Day Chicago State 90, East-West University 67. I never heard of East-West University, but any time Chicago State (1-8) gets a win, it's noteworthy. Apparently, East-West is a small, private school founded in 1980 that relies heavily on foreign students to make ends meet. It competes at the USCAA level, an association of smaller, usually religious schools.

So I'm not the only one following early Friday morning basketball from Northern Ireland! Milwaukee had cut the lead to 4 mid way thru the 2nd half, but it was all Buffalo from that point on
So where is it located, in the East or the West??? I'm confused.
Actually it's in Chicago - ironically 12.2 miles directly North of Chicago St University

Friday, November 30
Horizon Northern Kentucky 78, UMBC 60. Drew McDonald scored 21 and Dantez Walton 19 as NKU (7-1) won easy. UMBC (4-4) was just 3-23 from three point range.
Titan Non-Conference Opponents #25 Mississippi State 65, Dayton 58. Host Dayton led most of the way, but Mississippi State (6-1) ended the game with a 15-5 run for the win. Ryan Mikesell led Dayton (4-3) with 15.
Other Games of Interest #9 Michigan State 78, Rutgers 67. The Big 10 season opened and it's not even December. 22 for Winston, 20 for Ward in the Spartan win.
TCU 89, Central Michigan 62. Central entered the game at 6-1, but TCU (5-1) was a bit tougher competition than Chicago State, Concordia, Siena Heights and such.
#14 Wisconsin 72, #22 Iowa 66. Iowa's loss leaves 16 unbeaten teams in D1. Wisconsin is 7-1 and Iowa 6-1.
San Francisco 76, Stephen F. Austin 58. USF ran its record to 7-0. Pittsburgh 74, Duquesne 53. Pitt is 7-1, Duquesne 4-2.
Mid Major Win of the Day Radford 62, #17 Texas 59. There were 9 lead changes and 5 ties in the second half alone, but Radford scored the game's final 4 points in the final 24 seconds to win. The Highlanders are 6-1.

Saturday, December 1
Horizon After a terrible non-conference start, the Horizon hoisted itself up to respectability. But this week the Horizon has lost too many close, winnable games that would have been good wins: on Wednesday, UIC blew a 13 point second half lead against a good St. Joe's team, and the Titans collapsed in the final 90 seconds against a good Kent State team; on Friday, Milwaukee trailed #21 Buffalo by 2 midway through the second half, then got steamrolled. Today, several Horizon teams again came up short against good but beatable competition. The Conference has slipped back to 16th under the old RPI formula, after peaking at 11 at the start of the week.
Akron 71, Detroit 59. It's pretty hard to win when you shoot 30%. Antoine Davis is a great scorer, and Josh McFolley is nice support, but the Titans need a third scoring threat to really be effective. They had that in the Legends Tournament in Detroit (King) and against EMU (Long). When it's not there, it's tough on the two guards. Gamblers will love or hate the Titans tonight--a meaningless foul with 12 seconds left allowed Akron to beat the spread by half a point.
Xavier 73, Oakland 63. Oakland led in the early going, then fell behind and trailed for the final 30 minutes, but the Grizz never let the game get out of hand. They were within 4 with a chance for the defensive rebound with 1:24 left, but missed that rebound, and Xavier went on for the win. Xavier Hill-Maas had his third 30-point game of the year, plus 9 boards for OU, and freshman Braden Norris continued his fine play at the point with 14 points and 8 assists. Xavier had a more balanced attack, with 6 players scoring between 11 and 14 points. Xavier (5-3) also outscored OU (3-5) by 17 at the foul line, hitting 19 of 23 to OU's dismal 2 of 7.
Toledo 80, Cleveland State 67. Toledo closed the first half with a 20-5 blitz for a 12 point lead at the break. CSU closed to within 3 midway through the second period, but the Rockets (7-1) pulled away from there. Tyree Appleby led the Vikings (2-7) with 19. For Toledo, Jaelen Sanford had 20, Nate Navigato 19, and Willie Jackson 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Stephen F. Austin 66, Milwaukee 51. In Belfast, SFA ground down the Panthers in the second half. No Panther scored in double figures, and their point guard and leading scorer, Darius Roy, had a disastrous game with just 2 points (1 of 7 shooting) and 7 turnovers. Milwaukee is 2-6, Stephen F. Austin is 5-2.
Ball State 85, IUPUI 75. Ball State (5-3) offset 23 turnovers with a big rebounding edge and 56% shooting to win in Indy. Camron Justice had 28 points, his third straight 20 point game for IUPUI (5-3).
Indiana State 69, Wright State 63. Wright State lost at Terre Haute despite Billly Wampler's 22 points. Wright State is 4-4. The Sycarmores are 5-1.
Loyola 73, UIC 61. UIC (3-5) fell behind by double digits early, and never seriously threatened Loyola (5-3). Marcus Ottey led the Flames' effort with 20 points.
West Virginia 106, Youngstown State 72. Garrett Covington had 20 points, but this looks like a typical YSU season. The Penguins are 3-6, with two of their wins over non-D1 teams.
Green Bay 100, Belmont 92. Thank heaven for Green Bay, which kept the HL from getting skunked with a nice win over previously unbeaten Belmont (6-1). Six Phoenix scored in double figures, led by JayQuan McCloud with 21. Green Bay is 5-3.
Other Titan Non-Conference Opponents South Carolina Upstate 71, Western Michigan 66. I think we'd beat WMU (4-4) soundly in a rematch. The Broncs lost at home to 2-6 USC-Upstate, despite 20 points and 10 rebounds for Seth Dugan.
Northeastern 81, Eastern Michigan 67. It looks like once again EMU is going to fail to meet expectations. The Eagles drop to 4-5.
Kent State 78, Norfolk State 67. Kent State (7-1) was in control from the early going. Philip Whittington had 16 points and 9 rebounds.
Hartford 76, Bowling Green 63. BGSU (4-4) lost on the road. Demajeo Wiggins had 11 points and 14 rebounds. He's had a double-double in every game except Detroit.
Ohio U. 101, Marshall 85. Sophomore Jason Carter had 25 points and 12 boards for the Bobcats (5-2). He's the guy to watch when the Titans take on the Bobcats later this month. Marshall falls to 5-2.
St. Louis 64, Butler 52. The Billikens (6-1) held Butler (5-2) scoreless for over 8 minutes in a 17-0 run that spanned the halftime break, and then cruised on to victory.
Temple 77, St. Joe's 70. Temple trailed by 8 at the half. A 9-0 run broke a tie game with 4:40 to play and got the Owls (7-1) the win.
Loyola (Md) 75, Mount St. Mary's 65. Andrew Kostecka scored 29 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for his first career double-double as Loyola (3-5) beat winless Mt. St. Mary's.
Other Games of Note #7 Michigan 76, #19 Purdue 57. Right now, three teams look like potential national champions: Gonzaga, Duke and Michigan. Put Kansas and Virginia just behind them.
#1 Gonzaga 103, Creighton 92. Zach Norville had 28 points and Rui Hachimura and Brandon Clark combined for 49 points and 21 rebounds as Gonzaga (8-0) overcame halftime deficit against Creighton (6-2). The Blue Jays hit 5 of the their first 6 three-point attempts to open an early 11 point lead, but Gonzaga isn't easily rattled. Norville scored 23 of his points in the second half as the Bulldogs came back. Over the last two years, Norville has just 5 first half points but 44 second half points against the Blue Jays.
#2 Kansas 90, Stanford 84 (OT). Kansas keeps finding itself in early holes. Stanford led this one by six at the break, and it took a 3-pointer by Lagerald Vick with 6 seconds left for Kansas to force the OT after trailing for most of the second half. Vick led all scorers with 27 points.
#3 Duke 113, Stetson 49. The namesakes of George Washington Duke smoked Stetson (1-8) like a cheap cigarette. #5 Nevada 73, Southern Cal 61. #10 Kentucky 78, UNC-Greensboro 61. Greensboro entered the game with a bit of swagger and a 7-1 record, and led well into the second half, but UK (7-1) held the Spartans to 4 points in the game's final 10 minutes.
Marquette 83, #12 Kansas State 71. Markus Howard had 45 points for Marquette (6-2). #13 Virginia Tech 94, Central Connecticut State 40.
Houston 66, #18 Oregon 62. Who needs Antoine Davis? Houston stays unbeaten and will likely be ranked on tomorrow evening. They had to withstand a furious Oregon rally to get there--the Ducks cut a 10 point lead with 45 seconds to play to just 2, but Armoni Brooks finally closed the deal by hitting two free throws with 8 seconds left.
#19 Maryland 66, Penn State 59. #20 Texas Tech 78, Memphis 67. #21 Buffalo, 85, San Francisco 81. Two unbeaten mid-majors put on a good show for the Irish in Belfast. Ypsilanti's Nick Perkins had 22 for Buffalo. #23 Villanova 85, La Salle 78.
Furman 90, Western Carolina 88 (2OT). The Paladins (8-0) stay unbeaten with their third overtime win of the season. Providence 59, Rhode Island 50. The battle for Rhode Island. St. John's 76, Georgia Tech 73. St. John's stays unbeaten (7-0). North Carolina State 80, Vanderbilt 65. Indiana 68, Northwestern 66. Cincinnati 65, UNLV 61.
Mid Major Win of the Day Yale 77, Miami (Fla.) 73.
First time losers today included San Francisco (7-1), Abilene Christian (7-1), Belmont (6-1), and Kansas State (6-1), leaving 12 teams unbeaten.

Yale went double overtime with Memphis. They must be pretty good.
Kansas is still uneven with trying to work in so many transfers but they should be pretty smooth come March. On the other hand, St. Louis has a bunch of transfers but seem to be jelling early, with wins over Seton Hall and Butler and a two point loss to Pitt.

Sunday, December 2 A quiet Sunday.
Other Games #6 Tennessee 79, Texas A&M-CC 51. #16 Ohio State 79, Minnesota 59.
UCLA 82, Loyola Marymount 58. UCLA (7-2) drops Loyola from the unbeaten ranks, and from one of 5 teams sharing the longest current winning streak of 8 games. Arizona 76, Connecticut 72. Nebraska 75, Illinois 60. Missouri 64, Central Florida 62 (OT).

Horizon No games today. The Horizon is now 17th in Conference RPI, 19th in Sagarin.
Titan Non-Conference Opponents In fact, none of the Titans opponents played today.
Some other games #10 Michigan State 90, #18 Iowa 68. Michigan State (7-2) occasionally looks like a Final Four team. Like tonight. Kenny Goins had 19 points, 14 rebounds, and 7 assists. He chose to walk-on at MSU over coming to UD.
#4 Virginia 83, Morgan State 45. This game was as close as the final score indicates. Virginia (8-0) has so far held 4 opponents to fewer than 50 points. #11 Florida State 83, Troy 67. #12 Wisconsin 69, Rutgers 64.
Georgetown 88, Liberty 78. Liberty, off to a 7-1 start, got a chance to make their case tonight. But this one wasn't as close as the final suggests--Georgetown (7-1) led by 23 midway through the second half and was still up by 20 with under 5 minutes to play. Georgia 92, Texas Southern 75.
Mid Major Win of the Day Niagara 71, Pittsburgh 70. A 23-8 run in the second half left Niagara up 12 with seven minutes left to play, and the Purple Eagles (what is a Purple Eagle, anyway?) held on to be Pitt (7-2). Barely. Niagara (3-4) has a pair of Michigan kids in the starting lineup, Chris Barton of Pontiac and James Towns of Detroit. Sadly for Michigander pride, here are the results of Niagara's last 8 possessions, beginning with Niagara up 68-65 and 2:15 left on the clock: - Chris Barton, turnover - Chris Barton, missed 3 point jumper - James Towns, missed jumper - Chris Barton, missed 2 of 3 free throws after being fouled on three point attempt - Chris Barton, turnover - James Towns, turnover - Greg Kuakumensah, made 2 free throws - Greg Kuakumensah, turnover
But all's well that ends well. Niagara got the win when Pitt's Xavier Johnson missed a lay up with 3 seconds to play. And in his defense, Towns scored 12 points and had 9 assists.

Horizon Another rotten night for the Horizon.
Dayton 98, Detroit 59. The Titans were burned badly, and often, in transition, and all our future opponents are going to look at what Dayton did to our zone when they had to go into a half-court offense. We've got to figure out something else on offense--teams have figured out how to stop the Davis/McFolley show (it's not that hard--pressure high so the Titans have to start from way out, and wait on that screen and play physical to take the interior drive away). That little win streak was nice, but reality has a way of coming back to get you. Antoine had his first non-20 point game. Nice game for Hamrick, though, and, why, was that Tra'Quan Knight back on the floor? Welcome back, Tra'Quan.
Central Michigan 100, Youngstown State 94 (3OT). Folks got their money's worth at the Beeghly, where CMU and YSU played an extra 15 minutes. Central's Larry Austin, a grad transfer from Vanderbilt, had 22 points and 11 rebounds for Central (7-2). Garrett Covington had 24 points and 12 rebounds for YSU (3-7). Naz Bohannan also had a double-double for the Penguins with 13 and 16.
Cincinnati 78, Northern Kentucky 65. NKU's chances for an at-large bid anywhere (assuming they would lose in the HL tournament) pretty much went poof tonight. Though 8-2, the Norse have flunked their only two meaningful tests (Central Florida and now Cincy), and there's no meat left on the non-conference plate. I'm not sure that even a 31-3 Norse team would get an at-large bid. Cincinnati (8-1) broke a tie with a 14-0 run midway through the first half and it was never close after that. Tyler Sharpe led NKU with 16. All 5 Bearcat starters reached double figures, led by Tre Scott, who had 22 points and 10 rebounds.
Other Games #5 Michigan 62, Northwestern 60. Early in the second half, Michigan was up by 15 points, cruising along being Michigan, the almost flawless team we've seen demolish the likes of Villanova, Providence, North Carolina, and Purdue by an average of 21 points. And then something happened. In less than 3 minutes, Northwestern went on a 15-2 run, and it was a dogfight the rest of the way. Northwestern even grabbed the lead, briefly, but couldn't hold it. But it wasn't until Ryan Taylor missed a three at the buzzer that Michigan (9-0) could breathe easy. Ignas Brazdeikis had 23 for the Wolverines. Dererk Pardon had 20 for Northwestern. Mount Clemens' AJ Turner, a one-time Titan recruiting target offered by Ray McCallum, had 7 points and 5 assists for Northwestern (6-3), which has lost both its Big 10 games by two points.
#2 Kansas 72, Wofford 47. #8 Auburn 67, UNC-Ashville 41. #22 Mississippi State 90, McNeese State 77. #25 Furman 98, Elon 77. Furman, making its first appearance as a ranked team since reaching #17 in the Coach's poll in December 1972, and first appearance in the AP poll ever, shot 57% to whip Elon. Furman is 9-0, with wins over Villanova and Loyola, and has the longest current win streak in the country. Are they really one of the 25 best teams? No. But that's a reminder that the polls aren't necessarily choosing the "best" teams, and they sometimes reward teams like Furman that are playing well and seem to have earned some recognition.
Oklahoma 85, Notre Dame 80. Maine 75, Fordham 68 (OT). Maine (1-8) gets its first win, against a Fordham team that entered the game at 6-1. Bucknell 92, La Salle 79. La Salle disaster continues. The Explorers drop to 0-9, one of 5 winless teams in D1. Bucknell is 4-3. Holy Cross 82, Massachusetts 78. The battle for Western Massachusetts! Providence 100, Boston College 95 (OT). Another battle for New England superiority.
New Mexico State 100, New Mexico 65. Battle for desert superiority. These two in-state rivals play home and home every year. NM State (7-1) already won at Albuquerque, 78-74, but nobody expected this kind of blow-out in Las Cruces. The Aggies opened the game with an 11-0 run and were never threatened, leading by more than 40 several points. New Mexico (4-2) ain't that bad, with wins over Bradley, Iona, and UTEP.
Belmont 76, Lipscomb 74. The is a hot rivalry for two schools located about a mile apart in Nashville. Belmont (7-1) won it on a jumper by Caleb Hollander with 4 seconds left. For Lipscomb (6-2), Rob Marberry had 26 points, including a jumper that had tied it a few seconds before Hollander's winning shot.
Abilene Christian 83, Campbell 68. Abilene pushes its record to 8-1. Campbell's Chris Clemons, the nation's leading scorer, had 26 points. High Point 55, Valparaiso 53. Tubby Smith's High Point squad (4-5) knocks off our old friends from the prairie.
Mid-Major Win of the Day Georgia State 83, Alabama 80. Wait til Georgia State (5-3) gets Corey Allen into action next year! Honorable mention to Penn (7-2), which beat Miami 89-75.

Wednesday, Dec. 5
Horizon
Toledo 101, Detroit 57. Starting with 1:22 left in the Kent State game, the Titans have been outscored 284 to 177. The Titans were quite obviously gassed, mentally and physically, tonight. Ten days to take finals and rejuvenate before the final non-con games. Nice to see Harrison Curry. Pisser it took the NCAA so long.
Cleveland State 82, Bowling Green 64. Tyree Appleby exploded for 37 points as CSU (3-7) got an easy win. Demajeo Wiggins had 16 points and 11 rebounds for Bowling Green (4-5).
UIC 94, Illinois State 75. UIC (4-5) picked up a good win tonight, beating one of the MVC favorites. For once UIC didn't blow a big lead. Jordan Blount led the Flames with 27 points, Godwin Boahen added 22, and Tarkus Ferguson had a triple-double with 14 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists. Milik Yarbrough had 30 for Illinois State (6-4).
Miami (Oh) 65, Wright State 62. A bad home loss for the Raiders (4-5) and the Horizon. Billy Wampler tied it with a 3 with six seconds left, but Miami (5-4) answered with a 3 by Isaiah Coleman at the buzzer.
Titan Non-Conference Opponents Xavier 80, Ohio U. 61. Detroit's final two non-conference opponents squared off against each other.
