As the Titans move forward to their 0-31 record on the heels of another fabulous local high school recruiting season, and with the 34 point defeat to a MAC team in the rear view mirror, I thought it would be interesting to make predictions on the biggest margin of loss and the smallest margin of loss.
I'll go first.
Biggest loss: N. C. State. 58 points Smallest loss: SIU Edwardsville. 10 points
We can do a separate poll later, on who gets thrown under the bus the most often in post game interviews.

You are way off base. When we play NC State on 12/23/23 the Titans will be playing ‘some’ defense. Consequently, the loss will be less than 25 not 58..Try to keep the faith!

I’m with Friar on the NC ST game, but will meet in the middle, calling this a 40 point loss. Closest loss may be in the near future, at which point I will celebrate this close defeat.

To underscore the obvious; the results of the WS and Toledo games make it tough to have a positive outlook for 2023-24. That being said, I believe we have a core group of players that enable us to competitive in the Horizon League.
Toatley and Stone are a solid tandem in the backcourt and Tankersley has displayed a strong skill set. Having Kuac in the line up (assuming he fully recovers from injury) will be a big plus on defense. Although Del Cadia and Jankovic are not top tier players, it appears they have a level of competency to be 'reasonably' effective.

The good news is that our average margin of loss went down from 34 to 33. This is a testament to the Davis and Davis upgraded recruiting strategy. Gone are the days of night after night attending high school games. The modern way is to sit back, wait for the transfer portal to fill up, send out some emails and make offers to 5th year guys who averaged 4 pts and 2 rebounds at small schools. Well done guys.

0-7. The Davis's are almost 1/4 there.

I still haven’t watched a game this year besides the Ole Miss game. I do hope the guys can will against Ball State. ESPN gives them a 46% chance. I fear that if they can’t pull off a win against Ball State that the shred of hope and pride that this team might have will be gone. Being a D1 athlete should be a positive and memorable experience. Not every team can be great. Not every team can be good. Hell, let’s be honest. Some teams are pretty awful. But no athlete should have to endure an entire season of losing and being in a constant state of embarrassment for four months.

There is some terrible basketball being played in Detroit. The Pistons are 2-19 and the titans are 0-9. I think the team will start the season 0-13. The titans will get their first win of the season on 12/29/23 against IUPUI.

ESPN gives the Titans a 69% chance of beating CMU on 12/21.

The titans will get their first win of the season on 12/29/23 against IUPUI. I think the two teams are on a combined 27 game losing streak. I won't try to look it up, but I doubt that has ever happened before. I know what's wrong with the Titans. I have no idea why the Pistons are so bad. John Eddie must be sick to his stomach.

We have a NET of 347. If we lose the next 4, including against IUPUI on 12/29, we have a chance of being the worst D1 program in America.

Has a team ever gone 0-31?

We won't go 0-31.
In the modern era:
Chicago State was 0-9 in truncated 2021 covid year. Grambling was 0-28 in 2013. NJIT was 0-29 in 2008. Savannah State, 0-28 in 2005 Prairie View, 0-28 in 1992 The Citadel 0-17 in 1955
Lots and lots of teams have won just 1 game.
