The school posted a replay clip of the interview of you missed it live and want to hear it now. This is exactly what I’ve been talking about with announcers who open their mouths and just let the stupidity flow. First question is”so what’s going on a 9 mile and Livernois?” How the hell would Monty know that is in Ferndale!

I'm glad that the rest of us here have made so many mistake-free posts on this board compared to Dan Hasty's mistake to open that interview. Maybe he had just heard this classic ad jingle being played.

Maybe he had just heard this classic ad jingle being played. Maybe he purchased a mic with auto correct installed. It’s pretty hard to confuse 9 which 6 unless you are standing on your head, which is possible in Hasty’s case, or Mack and back with Livernois. I think most of us are not professional posters. He is supposed to be a professional announcer! Maybe I am expecting too much again!

It's like saying saying Tiger Stadium was located at Michigan and Junction. It's not the biggest mistake in the world, but it certainly was careless, and not what I would expect from a professional like Hasty.

Neither of you have ever made an incorrect statement in your lives? Yeah, he made a mistake on live radio. Have a laugh about it and move on to the more important issues.

I think even a greater error than that as station and stadium could possibly be confused and at least it’s the same city. We did have a Coach who wouldn’t leave campus and now Hasty has our new Coach working in Ferndale!

Now that I'm getting older, I make a verbal gaff of the Hasty type at least once a day and the planet continues to spin.

You're way over the top on your criticisms here about a guy saying 9 Mile instead of 6 Mile.

Complacency is exactly what got us to where we are now and what has allowed the game day experience at Calihan to decline to its present state. Maybe some on here have convinced themselves that the crap that has been delivered by the Athletic Department has the scent of roses and they are annoyed when someone points out that what they have come to enjoy is not the scent of roses.

You guys are so lucky you don't live in glass houses. Do you have masters degrees from the Specs Howard School of Broadcasting that make you experts in that profession? Because you both act like you have been experienced general managers of radio stations in the past. You guys are great Titan fans but on this issue you've lost all sense of proportionality and humor.

Do I need to have a master's degree from Specs Howard and be an expert in broadcasting to know that I probably should be able to correctly identify the intersection of my place of work? I'm no broadcaster, but if I was speaking in public and said that the University was located at Nine Mile and Livernois, I would expect to hear about it. I made a comment on the mistake and was done with it. You guys are the ones keeping the conversation going.
